Fast Shutter Speed: Photograph 5
I used a 1/125 second shutter speed. The ISO setting was 200 and the WB setting was cloudy. The action I froze was my classmate riding a skateboard in front of the school. I was on the sidewalk and level with my classmate when I took this photo. I considered the rule of thirds in this picture by not making my classmate the center. I also used the line and shape of the arrow to strenghthen my photograph to give the idea the my classmate is traveling foward.
Slow Shutter Speed: Photograph 1
I used a 1/80 shutter speed to purposely blur the action. The ISO setting was 1600 and the WB incandescent. The twisting of the ribbon toy creates the blur in this photograph. I was close to the object I photographed and the object was straight in front of me.
The strong colors of the ribbon contrast with the black background that strengthen the photograph.
